Hello Corvette Pace Car Registry MEMBERS, REGISTRANTS and FANS !
We know you have been waiting ...... We hope you are coming !!
Thanks for hanging in there !!
The Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Registry would like to report that it has been a very long and winding road, but we are VERY NEARLY ready to present our confirmed Reunion schedule to you, and open up registration on the National Corvette Museum website. As we discussed earlier, this promises to be the best Reunion yet !
Our agenda is pretty much still following those "guiding principles" for those items that we heard YOU say you wanted to do at the 2010 Reunion, with several changes.
Many of the Reunion agenda items we are going to offer are "Off Limits" to the general public. We also are awaiting confirmations from several General Motors personnel prominent in the Pace Car programs that we asked to attend. In the past we have had Pace Car Designers give presentations and answer your questions. We are also finalizing our host hotels in each city.
Please stop by our event webpage for the latest updates and we will announce on this post when the agenda is finalized and registration will be opened.
Feel free to post questions here and one of our reunion committee planners will get back to you ASAP.

I can't wait for this event. I also want to see if my onboard video's of me racing are playing inside the museum. Great job to those that made this possible.

This should be a great event and everyone should pull out all stops and bring out their pace car and for those with multiple year pace cars, bring out something different and include some of your rare memorabilia to show people.

Indy Race Team shop visit - Target Chip Ganassi Racing
The Corvette Pace Car Registry has an exciting update for the 2010 Pace Car Reunion! We are pleased to announce that we've finalized a visit to the Target Chip Ganassi Racing headquarters in Indianapolis on Thursday September 23rd.
As you all know, this is the home of Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti. In addition to Dario winning this year's Indy 500, Dario won in 2007 and Scott in 2008, which means they both hold keys to their respective Corvette Pace cars. This is a world-class winning race team with numerous IZOD IndyCar Series championships, including Dario who is the reigning 2009 series champion. Timing is everything and our Pace Car Reunion timing is perfect...
We will be visiting the facility 2 days after the team returns from from the Indy Japan 300 race in Motegi, Japan, so all the race cars and cool gear will be at the facility. This tour is not open to the public, and available exclusively to participants of the 2010 Corvette Pace Car Reunion.
Stay tuned for future updates.

The General Motors Milford Proving Grounds was the industry's first dedicated automobile testing facility when it opened in 1924. The proving ground includes the equivalent of 132 miles of highway-quality roads for vehicle testing and covers 4,000 acres. Some roads are open only to drivers who have passed special performance driving training. We are thrilled to announce the 2010 Pace Car Reunion will be visiting the Milford Proving Grounds on Saturday September 25th. We will visit the facility, drive the high-speed oval, and line up the cars for a group picture! Milford is also where Zora Arkus Duntov tested two 1963 Corvettes in that legendary video featuring drivers Dave MacDonald and Dr. thingy Thompson. Just how special is Milford?
This will be only the 4th time since 1992 that GM "outsiders" are allowed to play at the facility. Did we mention laps on the oval? Follow the link on our home page and Register today to join us! Best Regards, PCR Board

The Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Registry is pleased to highlight two of the stops in Indianapolis during the 2010 PCR reunion event. On Thursday September 23rd after touring Target Chip Ganassi racing and a stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the reunion will visit Ray Skillman Collector Cars and finish the day at Andy Wolf's private museum. Ray Skillman Collector Cars is an impressive lot of collector and muscle cars. Ray Skillman has several dealerships in the Indianapolis area, and this is his special "dealership" featuring only collectible cars. Ray is often seen buying and selling cars at Mecum Collector Car auctions on HDTV, and he is an avid car enthusiast. Over 100 cars are on display, complete with all the vintage signs and memorabilia. Andy Wolf's Private Museum nicknamed the "Wolfsonian", this museum is packed with cars, signs, memorabilia and special displays and is not open to the public. Andy is a local car and memorabilia collector, as well as an Indianapolis Pace Car and race enthusiast with a lot of interesting Indy 500 artifacts. We will wrap up Thursday's PCR Reunion activities at Andy's with a visit to his museum, including dinner and a guest speaker. Make sure to sign his guest book! Enjoy the evening and get ready to caravan to Detroit for all the special activities on Saturday. More details to come! This will be the best reunion ever! Event registration statistics are starting to pour in and we are encouraged by the numbers so far so please visit the National Corvette Museum link or our home page for agenda and registration, join us, and be a part of this very special event! Best Regards, PCR Board

Pratt & Miller...and the origin of Jake.
Hello ! I can't tell you how excited Jim, Gary, Bob and I (the PCR E-Board) are for this year's event. We've been working hard to bring you the best event ever, and here is another incredible reunion experience. Together with the National Corvette Museum, we've secured a visit to Pratt & Miller Corvette Racing! The will to win - that is the cornerstone of Pratt & Miller's success. Whether the project is a race car, a brake duct, or an advanced ballistic missile design, the racing spirit infuses the entire organization. Corvette Racing sets the standard for engineering excellence, preparation, and commitment in the American Le Mans Series. Pratt & Miller is located in Hudson, MI, and is our second stop on Saturday, September 25th right after we visit Milford and before the stop at the GM Heritage Collection. Note: Registration closes 9/13 at 8am (central time) and don't forget to get your room reservations in to meet their time lines too ! Jake the Corvette skull originated out of Pratt & Miller. The story is that one of the truck drivers would place a skull and crossbones on a different part of the race car before each race. It was meant to capture a pirate's sentiment to "take no prisoners". Then Corvette marketing manager Gary Claudio saw it and ran with the idea. After modifying the skull, teeth, and replacing the eye sockets with the C6 logo outline...Jake was born! Don't miss the 2010 Corvette Pace Car Registry reunion. Please register today and join us! Best Regards, PCR Board Jim, Gary, Bob and Bruce

The Spiritual home of Corvette Pace Cars...
The 2010 Corvette Pace Car Registry Reunion event has a big day planned in Indy on Thursday. In addition to Target Chip Ganassi, Ray Skillman Collector Cars, and Andy Wolf's private museum, we will also visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.
The IMS Hall of Fame Museum is located on the grounds of the famous Motor Speedway, and is recognized as one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing. In 1987, the museum and Speedway grounds were honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark. IMS License Plate
Approximately 75 vehicles are on display at all times, including the Marmon "Wasp", which won the inaugural Indianapolis 500 in 1911 with Ray Harroun at the wheel, and was featured on a postage stamp in the U.S. Postal Service's Transportation Series.
