Hello Corvette Pace Car Registry MEMBERS, REGISTRANTS and FANS -
The Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Registry is very excited and thrilled to inform you that there WILL be a Corvette Pace Car Reunion in September of 2010.
The PCR is planning the Event in conjunction with the National Corvette Museum's Event Dept. and this promises to be the best Reunion yet.
We surveyed our membership / registrants and had a great response - 148 owners! We thank you for your time, and will use your input into designing our reunion. Attendance is open to anyone interested in attending, not just our Members!
At our last Pace Car Reunion in 2007 we asked the Reunion attendees what they enjoyed doing with their Pace Cars and what they would like the Pace Car Reunion to include in a future Reunion event.
In addition to that information several PCR Members were participants in the NCM's Historic Motorama II in 2008. The Motorama was comprised of 55 Corvettes, one of each year made. Five PCR Members were included in the Motorama representing the years 1978, 1986, 1995, 1998, and 2007. The Motorama began at the NCM in Bowling Green Ky. and visited significant locations of Corvette interest, finishing in Detroit Mi. at General Motors 100th Anniversary Celebration.
We plan on including many of the these highlights in the 2010 reunion.
We encourage all Corvette Pace Car Replica and Festival car owners to attend the Reunion. As an owner of a Corvette Pace Car we share a common bond. We are all cut from the same cloth so to speak. Past Pace Car Reunion participants treasure the friendships and the memories made.
Many of the Reunion agenda features we are going to offer are "Off Limits" to the general public. We also plan on asking several General Motors personnel prominent in the Pace Car programs to attend. In the past we have had Pace Car Designers give presentations and answer your questions.
Following is an early, tentative agenda for the 2010 Pace car Reunion and subject to change.
