Help identifying door key code

I am posting this inquiry from a fellow Pace Car Owner. Can anyone help him out please?

Hello! My name is Willie. I have a 1986 Indy Pace Car Corvette Convertible! I have some blank coded b door keys at my local general motors shop! I cannot get them cut to code because I do not have the original door keys! I was wondering do you know how I could find out my door key code!!!

Gm auto parts department says its too old to get the info on key code w/o original!!!
