Decided to start a new thread just on IMS license plates since there were some messages buried in other threads.
I tried contacting Chevrolet to see if they could find my #15 IMS license plate. I was surprised that I got an email and then phone call within a day of me emailing them.
The guy was really nice but the best he could do was to get a letter of authenticity saying that my car was used at the Indy 500.
I don't know if he ever understood that I was looking for the plate used on the car.
I saw a message where Chevrolet would mail you a letter or packet to the first registered owner. My car has never been registered. I wonder if they would still do that after 3 years.
Has anyone received their official plate from Chevrolet?

Have you tried contacting Betty Hardeson at the National Corvette Museum? She may very well have your plate, and possibly the photo album for your car? Give her a try!
Congrats on the purchase of your "new" '08 Pace Car!
Planning to bring it to the Pace car Reunion in Indy?

Congrats on the purchase of your "new" '08 Pace Car! Planning to bring it to the Pace car Reunion in Indy? I did talk to Betty. She said she does not have the 2008 plates. I did get the photo album. Can't make the Pace Car Reunion. Maybe next year. I've never been to the Indy 500. Would love to experience it.
