I have been looking for photos or video of Denny Hamlin riding around the track on the back of a blue 2007 Corvette during the driver intros at the 2007 Daytona 500. I now own the car he rode on and would appreciate any help in obtaining photos. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the PCR. I know that there are photos out there. I was fortunate enough to run across someone quite a while ago selling some photos and I picked up the one of Jr. in 2005 and another from 2008. I just emailed him to see if he had any other drivers, he seemed to be primarily selling Earnhardt stuff. Another approach may be to contact the Speedway directly and talk to their PR dept. Contact links can be found on their website. Sorry, but these are the only ideas I have right now. I'll let you know what my guy says and I would suggest keeping an eye on Ebay. Unfortunately Daytona is a different animal than Indy. I hear that is due to Nascar and Chevrolet vs. the IRL. Indy really treats Pace cars as a major thing, and to Daytona they are just another car and after the race they are gone. I asked for some info and additional photos for the "real" Pace car and they said they did not retain any history and to try to find someone at Chevrolet who may be able to help. Stay in touch - if you are interested in submitting photos of your car for our Gallery, or an article about your car and the role it played, please do, I am always looking for good items to post.

Found one for you vettekat. Here's the url, www.speedshots.biz/images/Pictures/11DIS8000.jpgIn addition to contacting the folks Bob has mentioned, doing simple image searches on Google, Yahoo, Ask, Flickr, Photobucket, Web Shots etc. may help you find more pics that are in the public domain. Some of the best shots that I've found of one of my event vehicles have come from these public sites...some of the photography is good, some not so much. In any event, the thrill of the chase is a lot of the fun in owning an event car! Best of luck.
