Question about tire size

Hi all! I recently bought a '95 pace car and need to replace the tires. If I search sites like Tire Rack or most other retailers for tires by vehicle, it comes up with 255/45-17 front and 285/40-17 rear. NTB was even stranger, showing 275/40 front and 315/35 rear. Then I looked at my car and found that it currently has 275/40-17s all around!

Did the 95 Indy pace car come with the same size tires all around, while other 95's had wider tires in the rear? Is 275/40-17 the correct size for the factory Indy wheels?

Yes, the '95 Pace Car was the last year that had same-size tires all around, the P275-40R17. The 5-spoke rims on all 4 wheels were the same as those used on the front wheels of the ZR1 from 1995 (designated N66 INDY on the build sheet.)
