1st Timer, thank you and a question

Just purchased 2007 pace car build number 93; under 6,000 miles on the odometer. Thank you for the posting regarding contacting the National Corvette Museum regarding documentation. Getting the window sticker and work order and build license plate in a few weeks, must point out the cost has gone up significantly from the previous posing, now almost $175 but worth it to me. 

My question, on the center console, below the transmission shifter on the orange portion, there appears to be a factory cut out, can’t figure out if it opens or what it’s for? Possibly another option my car doesn’t have?

I believe that panel is for the Magnetic Ride Control switch.  It's not available with the Z51 package from what I understand.
