Same story here. I remember back during their last reunion in 2006 they held all registrations until registration closed to select and process who was entered. Since they set a limit of 500 cars this time around, I'm not sure if they want to make sure they have a wide selection of Pace Cars from over the years or what. We have someone contacting them to try to get an update for us, stand by!

Today we learned that IMS will be accepting all Indy 500 related (non-Brickyard 400) submissions, and they have some room left in the field, so they will be extending the registration deadline until end of March. This is excellent news! More to come...

Hey Bruce - I guess I will see you at IMS. My check was cashed yesterday. Hey Dean! I know there was some question about what cars are eligible for the reunion and I'm glad you sent in your application and will be bringing your '98. Looking forward to seeing you there! Registration has been extended through the end of March. All Indy 500 related cars are eligible. There is still time if people have not yet submitted their cars. C'mon and join us! Bruce

Hi Bruce, You have a great website and quite a collection! I've owned 3 1978 Pace Cars in my lifetime and now have a 2008. I've had 2 of them (L-82 4 speeds) NCRS Top Flight. Sad to have sold the last one to the U.A.E. Would love to keep em all but don't have storage. Which one of your cars are you bringing? I'm still shopping for a trailer to haul my car from Orlando, Florida. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Trying to convince mom it's ok to take kids out of school for a few days ;D I purchased this car from Ray Skillman Classic Cars in Indianapolis December 2010 with 9 miles on it. If I were thinking ahead about this reunion, I would have told him I'd pick the car up at the end of May 2011! Attachments:

We do that with our kids, for special Corvette events, and have never regretted it. They love to go! Got your '08 from Skillman? I actually bought my '95 from Skillman through the Mecum auction in Indy in 2009. Prior to the auction we went to the Skillman showroom to look at the car and I remember seeing his '08 there. Likely that's now your car. Thanks for the comments on my web site. Since the 100th is in our back yard, we are bringing all 5 of our Corvette Pace Cars. I'll probably end up regretting it but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Brian hope you got the member cling I sent you, and thanks for joining the pace car registry. Looking forward to meeting you in person in May! And bring your kids! Mine will be there too. This is going to be a very special event.

We are seeing some signs of IMS acceptance correspondence. Greta from the motor speedway has sent out some email acceptances and I've seen a questionnaire. Here is a sample: 2011 Pace Car Reunion QuestionnaireName: Number of Pace Cars Entered: Will you be arriving Friday 5-20 for load in? If not, when do you plan to arrive? Number of people accompanying you (include ages of children)? Do all your guests plan to attend the Saturday evening reception? (Note: two are included with each entry, any above that will be additional cost) Will you be leaving your pace car on the grounds at night? Will you need trailer parking? Will the trailer remain on the grounds? Will you be driving another car to the grounds each day? Are there any special needs that we need to be aware of? ---------------------------------- Personally I have not gotten anything yet, but I know they are working on it and it's a slow process. But at least we are seeing some movement!
