I second the comment on the repro tires! They are very nice. Contact John Kelsey and tell them you learned about the pace car tires through the Corvette Pace Car Registry.

Hello, '08 director here. There is several different ways to go about finding out if your car is a legit "track car". First off, if you are a member, you could go to the vin list and see if your vin# is listed as a track or dealer car. Also, have you looked in your console or glove box to see if there is a civic event document? It would either be light pink or yellow and would have the civic event plate number on it, which is your license plate number. Is there a vinyl number down in your left lower corner of windshield or a little vinyl number behind your rear license plate? Not to many dealers remove the one behind the rear plate. There is several other ways to find this out, but for now, try these things and check back. Hope that helps!

Hello, Is your model built or still in the box? Do you or your father still have any of the prototype drawings and or prints, photos, or anything else for the '78? I have the Chevrolet Museum in Decatur, IL. and always looking for additional stuff to add to museum.
Feel free to call me if you would like anytime.
Thanks LaVelle Hunt 217-454-4583

This should be a great event for all with it being the 100th for Indy and Chevrolet!!! While in the area, make it an extra great week or weekend by visiting the Chevrolet Hall Of Fame Museum approx. 2.5 hours straight West of the Speedway! We are already putting plans together for a spectacular display for the 100th anniv. celebration in 2011.

Anybody catch the article on Bunkie Knudsen in the new Jan. 2011 issue of Classic Cars and Parts magazine? Not only is the article good, but on page 32, you can see two PCR members cars that were on display at the 2009 Bloomington Gold "Special Collection" "Grand Finale". You can see my '08 and just the front right corner of Bob Kirsch's '07.

Little late for an answer but there were plates for all year Corvette Pace and Festival cars. I have the original plate for my 1995 Festival car. #56
There is collectors out there that will trade or sell plates out of there collections because maybe they have found lower numbers, etc.
Hope that helps.

This should be a great event and everyone should pull out all stops and bring out their pace car and for those with multiple year pace cars, bring out something different and include some of your rare memorabilia to show people.
